Waldo, the AI-powered photo delivery and management platform purpose-built for events and volume photography, today announced the launch of its new Offline Selfie Station for iOS, enabling organizers to onboard everyone to Waldo’s AI-powered photo delivery via any iPhone, even in locations with no connectivity. The Waldo Offline Selfie Station for iOS is available on the Apple App Store for all businesses with a Waldo Photo Manager subscription.

Waldo’s new iOS-based Offline Selfie Station mirrors the web app–based Selfie Station, allowing guests to snap a quick selfie on arrival to register their face with the event. But now, the entire check-in process works independently of internet access, ensuring smooth operations at remote venues, stadiums, fields, schools, arenas, convention centers, and other environments where cellular and Wi-Fi are unreliable.

Once an internet connection becomes available—onsite or after the event—the iOS app automatically syncs all captured selfies to Waldo’s platform for matching and delivery.

Key Features & Benefits

  • True Offline Operation: Capture and register guest selfies anywhere, without requiring an internet connection.
  • Instant Setup: Deploys on any iPad or iPhone, eliminating the need for browsers, hotspots, or complicated network setups.
  • Auto-Sync When Online: Seamlessly uploads all offline data once connectivity is restored.
  • Consistent Waldo Experience: Offers the same intuitive user flow as Waldo’s web-based selfie station.
  • Ideal for High-Volume Environments: Perfect for schools, sports leagues, camps, races, and large events where check-in speed is critical.

“We’ve had tremendous interest in using Selfie Station in places without cellular or Wi-Fi, and I’m thrilled to announce that the team has now made it possible,” said Rodney Rice, CEO of Waldo. “With Offline Selfie Station for iOS, we’re expanding Waldo’s mission of frictionless photo delivery, bringing AI-powered matching to any environment—from packed stadiums to remote campgrounds.”
